Overall Enjoyable
For those that don't know MMX is Youmacon's baby brother. The first year it was help was AMAZING for artists. We were in the Detroit Renascence Center in the hallway and I have to say we did great on profit. The staff was 'meh' at best, we set up Friday and on Saturday was kicked out of our spot due to bad planning on the conventions part. They found us another table, but it was a huge hassle moving everything.
Second year we attended we did around same profit (yay!) but you could tell they tried to expand far too quickly for the attendance - and the dealers took a huge hit from it. On the AA side I really enjoyed it; technically it's a 24 hour alley but most people pack up for the night around 10. The atmosphere is like how Youmacon was when it was smaller and the cost of AA tables is going up a bit too quick for my opinion.
