AnimeIowa

I vended at Anime Iowa 2023 as my very first convention and it exceeded all expectations! It's definitely a smaller convention, but the attendees save up all year to spend money here. So the sales numbers were very good! I ended up making back 5x expenses, with driving in and splitting the hotel room with two others. It was nice getting the opportunity to reserve a room in the adjoining hotel before it opened to attendees. Staff was going around checking in on us frequently which was very appreciated. Attendees were all pleasant to talk to and were very nice. The only downside is the vendor hall was VERY cold so bring a jacket. I would definitely vend here again!

This convention does not take into account Covid needs. And when they shut down their event and others needed to wait to use their already paid for badges, they did not compensate by allowing their badges to work for subsequent animeiowa events. Stay away from this terrible convention!
