Anime Milwaukee

I have tabled at AMKE for 2 years and have been in attendance since 2011. The artist alley has really been on the decline. It’s near impossible to get in because of how many people apply. Although, if you live in the area you can buy a table day of if they have people show up late or no show. Aisles are unevenly spaced and artist are packed like sardines. A lot of artists with towering displays are often placed next to newer/smaller artists drawing away potential customers. For such a high attendance convention (near 10k in 2018), sales can be pretty terrible. The AA is in the same place as the Vendor hall but they’re in separate sections. Most people Go straight into vendor hall and then waste all their money and try to haggle for things they want from artists. I’ve also had people try to return stuff as well because they wanted money back for the vendor hall. Staff also said they would have people circling through to assist artists who were tabling alone, not once did I ever see one. Overall every year I grow more and more disappointed.
