Anime Ohana

Terrible. Only 1 artist in the alley made enough sales to make her table fee back. I came up short myself. There was 0 advertising by the organizers. Vendors closed up as soon as they broke even and did not even attend Sunday. We closed the entire event early that afternoon due to no attendees. The venue severely lacks parking although inside the rooms is nicely climate controlled. The layout was average. Staff was 50/50. Leading up to the event and on the first day I had some offending exchanges, but some of the people I spoke to were very nice. The attendance count was atrocious; probably due to no advertising!! Being affordable, nah. Registration was comparable to other cons BUT it was not profitable. I got the impression they contracted the space for multiple years and they will be back. I highly recommend even as a local not to sign up unless they make serious changes.
