Never again...
Alright, I defended wasabi one too many times. Attendance was horrendous, staff was helpful at first, sales were abysmal. At the end of the con, I overheard a few staff members trash talking the other, more notorious, anime cons in the area. I'm done, and will never again support this event that seems bent on running itself into the ground.

I'm done
I've been selling at Animeland Wasabi either in the dealer's room or in the Artist Alley since year 1, and finally this year, their 8th, it felt like they were actually willing to react to negative feedback on the spot instead of getting "we'll do it better next year". Unfortunately, all but a few attendees have stopped coming, and the new ones that come now are generally young and don't have much to spend. With most of the local community fed up with years and years of snafus, all efforts made now are just too little, too late.

Still Trying to Improve
Animeland has been struggling the last few years, but the staff are truly dedicated to making this con succeed! I've attended the last 2 years, and I'm gonna keep sticking with them. 2015 was a struggle as Sukoshi con partnered up to try and help. Unfortunately the venue they chose was very small and cramped. There were a few issues with table placement and such, but the staff truly cared and helped me get things situated. I would not recommend out of state travel to this con yet, but I'm hopeful that the future is bright still! Profits were good for me, it seems like attendees are eager to spend money in the alley.

Not great (but might be better now)
I went to Animeland Wasabi for two years in a row, two years back. The first year I went, I was fairly happy with the con. It was very small and intimate but the attendees were friendly and the staff were easy to work with. The AA was in a main hallway and also didn't have hours so I enjoyed that aspect.

The second year was completely opposite though. They moved venues and put the AA in the basement of the hotel. No other events were really happening down there so the AA was a literal ghost town. I only made $25 dollars all weekend. I have not attended the con since because of how terrible the sales were. I have no comments on the staff since I never saw any of them, but I also never needed them for anything.
