So... really disorganized. We were told to pick our tables the night before the show. I picked mine only to see someone took my table that morning and staff told me to find another table, which was in an absolutely terrible location where I was beside a vendor yelling at people and purposely blocking other artists from what little buying public we got. We never saw much of staff or volunteers since we didn't seem to be much of a priority.
I made very little, didn't break even, most people had no idea I was even exhibiting there.
I complained to the show and they did compensate me for the problem.
People in that city are fiercely overprotective of this show. I have addressed the issue I had overall with disorganization and dealt with an angry backlash from people rather than hearing why a problem exists to attack anyone that disagreed. And the show seemed to tolerate the backlash and never stopped the personal attacks (they held their con during Remembrance Day weekend when almost nothing like restaurants were largely open which led to a few other hassles).
Not really angry, but this is a hassle I don't need. Halifax is a nice city, I'd come back, but will be avoiding Hal Con.
