Amazing Comfy Little Convention
This is not a big convention. This is not a big bucks convention. This is not a convention you fly to to sell at. But if you live within a few hours' drive, it IS a very comfortable little convention.

I profit at this con, but I never make a crazy amount. That's okay by me, though. The Owensboro Convention Center is the PERFECT size for the convention. Smallish, but it doesn't feel empty. The attendees are excited to have a convention nearby and I always have great interactions there. Plus the parking is free which is SO helpful.

The staff has always been communicative and friendly, which I appreciate!

I only dinged a star for layout because I heard some people complaining that their location in the hall wasn't getting much traffic, but it's hard to evaluate how much the layout affects that since the exhibitor hall is one large room.

It's also pretty affordable. There are LOTS of low-cost hotels in the area and plenty of places to grab food, so you're not breaking the bank to attend.

One of my favorite things about this con, however, is the immediate surrounding area of the Convention Center. This part of Ownesboro by the river is BEAUTIFUL. The city also has an event during the summer called "Fridays at Five," I believe, where food trucks and live music and small craft vendors line the riverwalk right outside the con center and it's really fun to attend after the first day!

While I can't recommend this to someone who has a ways to travel or would have to spend a lot to get here, I highly enjoy it every year.
