Roanoke Valley Comicon

I had high hopes considering the reviews I had seen on here. I wasn't expecting to make a whole lot of money, but from what I read on here I was hoping to at least make back table. It was a huge letdown. Barely any attendees, though the ones I did interact with were fantastic people. Lack of communication, we were not informed when setup was and upon arrival on when the mall opened, we were told we were late. How could we have known we were late when all we were told is that the event starts at 10? It's not my job to hunt down the event runner and ask them when setup time is. Table only had one chair, and when we tried to grab an available chair we were RUDELY told that it was in use. Event runner talked (badly) about other attendees to the table next to ours. Not at all professional.
Overall our stuff was well-received, and it may have been worth the trip if the attendance was better despite the flaws with the staff. But I will not be coming back.

Nice quaint venue, the atmosphere and the town is very lovely. People are friendly and kind! Chris (the one who is hosting the show) is a very kind fellow who honestly does care about the vendors/artists/ people of the convention. I admire that. I would recommend this for AA if you are local to the area for sure, I made my table costs and a very good amount of profit considering I am not really a comic themed artist. Great place to make connections though!

This was a huge gamble for my little shop but one that truly hit the mark. The people were fantastic and completely enjoyed every aspect of this show. We will be back every year to help keep the great people of Virginia happy. To all who visited our booth please like our page and tell us things that can help us improve.

I've been attending this show for a couple of year now, and it never disappoints! Great people, great vendors, and great staff! Chris Garber has made one killer show that seems to get bigger and better every time!

This was my third show with Roanoke Comicon and each one has been excellent. I drive 3 hours to attend this event. Well organized, great price, organizers really care about the vendors success , t he customers are so. much fun can't wait for the next show.

Been to many of their shows. Obviously some do better for me than others, but it stays consistent with big crowds that keep growing. It is always worth my time getting there, because I know I will have the opportunity to present my work to a big, enthusiastic crowd.

This show continues to grow. From 1200 people 2 years ago to 2200 this year. A great selection of returning vendors and new vendors each show.
