September 6, 2019 - September 9, 2019 | Table Cost:
Purin
This con was meh in 2021 and worse in 2022. Definitely don't travel to vend here, and that goes for exhibitors and artist alley participants. The artists are lined up on the outside perimeter of the area, and exhibitors (the majority of the room) sit in the middle. The foot traffic both years was light, with 2022 being so light I barely made back my table costs.
Most attendees are kids. I'd say most people want to purchase stuff you'd typically see only sold by exhibitors--plushies, clothes, figures, etc (things you can hold, not necessarily prints/keychains/buttons). Most sales were the cheapest items I had besides buttons, but the volume was not enough to make it profitable. I only made a profit because of 2-3 individuals who spent a large amount on merch, but if not for them, I would've been in the hole. You used to have a lot of room for your booth, but now, the artists are squeezed tight together.
I guess I'd recommend it for locals who want to get their feet wet. I chose this con because it's cheaper than others and local to me. It is not a money maker. I really want it to be, because I want there to be an anime con in Vegas that has a huge amount of attendees. I hope they can draw in more attendees this year.
