Ultracon of South Florida

Ultracon 2023 was terrible beginning to end. They glorified Vic Mignogna as a "guest." Very disorganized. They say that they have 12,000 Attendees but Palm Beach Post said that they have 5,000 Guests. They don't let the people stay until close. They kick us out before the closing time. Irving Santiago should really quit running conventions. This is nothing more than a money grab for him. Go on Youtube and search for "Ultracon Pandemic" and see for yourself.

Overcrowded with vendors, vendors that were selling items not appropriate to the event— there was a witchcraft booth selling dead kittens — a lot of Amazon resellers. Event organizer rude and unresponsive

Last year, myself and a number of artists attended the re-opening year of Ultracon. With a lack of any viral marketing or even knowing about the show approximately 2 months before the event, attendance was abysmally low with less than 1,000 people throughout the entire weekend. Most artists and vendors packed up during the middle of the second day as they hadn’t made booth and for some even a sale. To make up for this, the convention organizers offered a free one day show a few months after, but this was also a flop to some who attended. In 2019 this was the worst show I’ve attended out of over a dozen other conventions of all sizes. With a steep booth price for entry artists I would not recommend it unless you live in the area to keep costs low or get their discount for attending last year’s show, even then I would avoid it.
