Wonderful Surprise Con
I was on the wait list for this con last year and got in at the last second due to another artist dropping out the week before the show. The staff were very accommodating to me, it being a last second addition to my con schedule. And it ended up being one of my most profitable cons for all of last year for me. I really have zero negative things to about my experience with the con and in fact am tabling at it in a couple weeks. Now maybe last year was a fluke, which can happen at cons, but just based on my small sample experience with it last year, definitely a good convention.

A good con with fun people
I wasn't planning on leaving a review but I only saw one for Soda City Comic Con and I wanted to share my experience too! We've been going as patrons for years but this is the first con I ever took my art too. I had an excellent weekend. You aren't moving insane amounts of product but I'd say it's definitely worth it if you're not too far. Even with a hotel and table costs I made around $1200 in two days.
Maybe the person above me went during a bad year OR they've improved since then, but we had zero issues getting in each day. We had a great time, all the vendors and artists are super friendly and people come ready to spend. Definitely one of my favorites to table at!

NEVER AGAIN
We did this show on the recommendation of a friend, and boy howdy.... what a shit show. We were deceived by our placement, placed not in the vendor room but around a corner away from the main entrance and attendees. We got to play a lot of archery tag... not selling things.

My friend did photography at this show. The con runner (according to him) lied to him about his compensation. Lied to the guests about their compensation, Rooker almost quit according to him. He then stiffed my friend despite his costs upfront. The show runner is really sketchy, yet some people swear by him. I never understood why.

Also, this is at the nightmare convention center which makes us vendors and artists OPEN our cash boxes, for "security" to make sure we're not carrying guns or something, and exposing to the world we sometimes have cash and are free to rob.... yeah, well done.
